Developer Diary #2

Hi!

I’ve been thinking a lot about my game and its original concept. Over time, I became dissatisfied with the story and direction—it just didn’t feel… right.

After taking several months off, I completely rebuilt the project from the ground up: a brand-new story, a new concept, and fresh ideas.

The first big change was saying goodbye to the old tilesets. You can find a few new screenshots further below. The overall concept has also evolved:

You play as a group of four adventurers traveling to the cursed city of Ravencroft. The local Duke, Raven, has lost his mind and plans to summon seven Hellgates within seven days. The city is falling into chaos—most people flee, and only a handful remain.

Our mission: reach the castle and stop the Duke before it’s too late. We have seven in-game days to prepare—level up, craft or buy new gear, and gather resources.
During the day, you can leave the city to explore one of three dungeons. These are self-contained areas with bosses and unique loot. After 6 PM, you can’t leave the city anymore—though you can still shop, visit the bathhouse, stop by the tavern… or risk heading straight into the castle.

But beware: once you enter the castle, there’s no turning back. And with each passing day, the enemies and dangers inside grow stronger—waiting too long could be a fatal mistake.

The game features a time-limit system similar to Persona. Time doesn’t pass inside dungeons, so you can explore them at your own pace. The new design also incorporates Roguelike elements.

Outside of combat and exploration, there’s a relationship system—give gifts to characters to increase your bond. Maxing out a relationship unlocks new scenes.

Now, onto the spicy content: H-scenes presented in a visual novel style. Some are only accessible if you max out certain relationships or perform specific actions. There’s also a corruption system—the higher your corruption, the more risqué dialogue options become.
Unlocked H-scenes are added to a gallery, where you can rewatch them at any time. The total number of these scenes is still undecided.
